Dorm Daze 2 takes the same gang from the first film, and rather than just sticking to the usual college hijinks, they throw them on a cruise ship. The atmosphere is light and breezy, fitting for a tropical setting, but the humor often falls flat, relying on some pretty cliché tropes. You get the usual mix-ups and misunderstandings—think of it as a blend of slapstick and absurdity. The performances are spirited, if not exactly nuanced, with cast members clearly enjoying the ride. The practical effects are minimal but serviceable, and there's a playful energy throughout, even if it sometimes feels like they're just going through the motions. Definitely not a cinematic well-crafted, but it has its charm in a goofy, carefree way.
