So, Dragon Quest Fantasia Video, huh? It's an interesting piece of work from '88, produced by Enix. I mean, it’s live action, which is a bit of a gamble for a video game adaptation, right? The whole thing is silent, which gives it this unique atmosphere, letting the music take center stage. Koichi Sugiyama's compositions really shine, blending seamlessly with the visuals. The pacing is kind of deliberate, so it has this dreamlike quality. Practical effects are charming, if a bit dated, and they really try to capture the essence of the Erdrick trilogy. The performances, while not traditional, convey a lot through physicality. It's certainly a distinctive interpretation of the franchise, worth a watch if you dig the aesthetic of the series.
