DragonHeart is an intriguing blend of classic fantasy and action, directed by Rob Cohen. The chemistry between Bowen, played by Dennis Quaid, and the CGI dragon Draco, voiced by Sean Connery, gives it a unique charm. The practical effects, especially in the dragon design, hold up pretty well considering the era. There's this underlying theme of redemption and the moral complexities of heroism that’s woven throughout. The pacing can be a bit uneven, but it often leans into some genuinely heartfelt moments. The score by Randy Edelman adds to the epic vibe, making the whole experience resonate more than you'd expect from a 90s fantasy flick.
