Drip Drop is an interesting little piece of horror that plays with the mundane. The atmosphere is thick with tension, as it uses the absence of water to build dread. You start with this woman returning home, just the regular everyday stuff, but it quickly spirals into something unsettling when the water returns, if you can call it that. The sound design is particularly chilling—the constant drip becomes a character of its own. There’s not much in terms of extravagant visuals, but the practical effects they do use are effective. The pacing is deliberate, almost meditative, which works in its favor, allowing the tension to simmer. It’s this eerie exploration of domesticity that makes it feel a bit different from typical horror fare.
