So, 'Driven' (2015) finds this woman alone in a car, just her and the dark woods. The atmosphere is thick with dread, and you can really feel her mounting fear. The pacing is tight, almost suffocating at times, which keeps you guessing. The practical effects are understated but effective, enhancing the tension without overdoing it. It’s this raw, creeping sense of dread that stands out. You don’t really know what she hits, and that ambiguity lingers. The performances are solid, especially given the minimal cast. It’s a unique entry in the horror-thriller space, relying heavily on psychological tension rather than jump scares or gore, which gives it a distinctive feel. Definitely left an impression on me.
