Dumpy Spider is an intriguing blend of fantasy and horror that really nails that unsettling urban atmosphere. You’ve got Tamás, a delivery guy with this cool bike, who’s just trying to get by, but then there's Balázs, his flatmate, who’s convinced that documenting their late-night rides is some kind of artistic endeavor. Their relationship is a key element, it feels real, like two guys just trying to figure things out in this creepy city. But when they hit this mysterious address, the film dives into darker territory. The pacing is interesting, too, it builds a sense of dread without rushing. And the practical effects? They’re grounded yet eerie, which totally helps to create that unsettling vibe. Definitely a unique experience in the indie realm.
