Eight Deadly Shots is this raw, gritty exploration of a man's downfall, directed by Mikko Niskanen. The film really sets a bleak tone right from the start, with Pasi's desperate situation reflected in the stark landscapes and minimalistic cinematography. It’s interesting how it plays out as a long flashback, letting you dive deep into Pasi's psyche as he spirals from drunken rage to tragedy. The pacing can feel a bit slow, but it serves to build that heavy atmosphere of despair and inevitability. Performances are quite compelling, especially Pasi’s, which really captures the weight of his circumstances. The practical effects during the climax are pretty effective, adding a layer of realism to the already intense narrative. It’s definitely one of those films that leaves you with a lot to ponder after the credits roll.
