So, 'End of a Gun' is an interesting watch, mixing action and crime with a thin thriller veneer. You’ve got this mall security guard who, surprise, is also a former federal agent. The pacing can feel uneven at times but it definitely ramps up when the guard confronts this menacing drug kingpin's enforcer. Practical effects are used to solid effect, keeping things grounded amidst the chaos. The atmosphere in the mall, especially during the tense moments, really draws you in. Performances are decent too; the lead carries the film, even if the script doesn't always back him up. It’s not groundbreaking, but there’s a certain charm in its simplicity.
