So, 'Every Man's Fantasy' is this curious little gem from 1985. Jean Paul, our Parisian protagonist, finds himself in America for the first time, and it’s a wild ride right off the bat. His cash and luggage vanish, which sets a pretty frantic tone as he tries to navigate this new world. What’s really striking here is the way women are portrayed; they’re almost caricatures of desire, all intent on seducing him. It brings a certain comedic but bizarre energy to the film. The pacing is a bit uneven, which I think adds to the charm, and there's a rawness to the performances that feels very much of its time. Not your typical erotic fare, more of a quirky exploration of fantasy and identity.
This film has a bit of a niche appeal, especially among collectors of 80s cult cinema. It seems to have had a limited release, which makes it somewhat scarce, especially in good condition. Many collectors appreciate its unique take on sexual themes presented through a comedic lens, even if it doesn’t have a lot of mainstream recognition. It's one of those titles that might surprise you with its oddball charm.
