Everybody in Our Family is a tense exploration of parental obsession and emotional turmoil. Marius, the protagonist, is portrayed with a rawness that blends desperation with a sort of misguided insistence. The pacing is deliberately slow, almost suffocating, which amplifies the feeling of dread as he refuses to accept his daughter's supposed illness. The atmosphere feels claustrophobic, especially in the interactions between Marius and the other characters, who add layers of tension. It’s not just a drama, there’s this underlying thrill that builds as Marius’s desperation escalates. It’s grounded, almost documentary-like in its realism, which makes the unfolding events feel all the more unsettling. The performances, particularly from the lead, really anchor the film in unfiltered emotion.
