Everybody’s Couch is an interesting little drama that captures the essence of human connection, or lack thereof, through Zoe's journey across Canada. The pacing feels very organic, much like Zoe's life as she moves from one couch to another, each stop revealing pieces of her character and the people she meets. The performances are quite raw, which lends an authenticity to the film that might resonate with folks who appreciate character-driven narratives. The themes of solitude and belonging are woven throughout, with a subtle romantic thread that doesn’t overpower the main story. It has a kind of understated atmosphere that's almost meditative at times, making it a unique viewing experience in the indie scene of 2011.
