So, Excisions (2025) drops us into this creepy world where a couple, in desperate need of dental help, stumbles into a deserted dental office in Kingman, Arizona. The tension builds slowly, which I appreciate; it lets the dread seep in before the action kicks off. The atmosphere is thick with unease, enhanced by practical effects that really make the horror pop. It’s gritty, raw. The performances are pretty solid too, capturing that frantic terror as they realize they're not alone. There’s something deeply unsettling about the mundane setting turned nightmare. I mean, how often do we see a dental office turned into a horror backdrop? It’s that mix of the familiar and the terrifying that makes this film stand out for me.
Explores themes of desperation and survival.Unique setting for a horror film.Effective use of practical effects.
