Extreme Justice (1986) dives into a gritty world where desperation and crime intertwine. Richard Anconina plays Willie, this cop with a soft spot for lonesome cowboy music, which adds a unique layer to his character. The pacing feels deliberate, almost methodical, as it unfolds the dark realities surrounding Jo, played by Ambre. Her struggle against the oppressive Lebanese brothers is raw and unsettling, you can really feel the tension in those scenes. The performances are pretty solid, especially Anconina's, as he wrestles with his own demons while trying to save Jo. The atmosphere is thick with a sense of hopelessness, yet there’s a flicker of resilience. Not the most polished film, but it definitely leaves an impression, thanks to its unvarnished look at crime and survival.
