Faces of Death VI continues the unsettling journey into the macabre that the series is known for. Directed by John Alan Schwartz, this installment is less about new footage and more of a retrospective—kind of a grim highlight reel of the earlier films. You can feel the pacing is different, almost like it’s trying to catch viewers up while still maintaining that dark atmosphere that makes the series so notorious. The editing is choppy, which adds to the uncomfortable tone, and the practical effects, well, they range from shockingly realistic to laughably bad. Still, there’s a certain curiosity in watching how these moments are stitched together. It’s definitely not for everyone, but collectors appreciate its place as a sort of compilation of horror’s most extreme moments.
