So, Fallen Angel is an interesting piece from 2023. It’s got this sort of gritty, atmospheric vibe that really pulls you into its world. El, the main character, is this agent of Eden, and he’s grappling with some heavy personal loss, which adds a nice layer to the narrative. The pacing feels intentional, offering moments of reflection between the action. The confrontation with the Black Mamba is tense—like, you can feel the stakes. They've employed some solid practical effects that ground the sci-fi elements, which I appreciate. The performances are pretty solid too, especially how El navigates his internal conflict while still being this driven agent. It’s not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi flick, for sure.
