Family Tree Ghoul has this unique blend of horror and dark humor that keeps you guessing. The pacing can feel a bit erratic but somehow fits the bizarre narrative. The atmosphere is thick with tension, especially with the practical effects used for Nuan’s haunting transformations; it's a bit campy, but in a way that adds charm. Rakkarndee's performance as Nuan stands out, giving the character an unsettling yet strangely alluring presence. The whole premise of the soldiers unwittingly inviting chaos into their lives after a seemingly simple burial taps into themes of unintended consequences, which is always interesting to see explored in horror.
