Fatal Call is a low-budget thriller that really leans into the paranoia of modern life. Mitch starts off as this hopeful guy looking to escape his mundane small-town existence, but then everything spirals out of control when he gets tangled up with Amy, who has a captivating but dangerous allure. The pacing is kind of relentless, and you can almost feel Mitch's anxiety ramping up as he tries to figure out what's real and what's a setup. The performances are uneven, which adds to the tension; you really get a sense of distrust with every character he encounters. There’s a rawness to the practical effects used that adds to the gritty tone. It might not be polished, but it definitely leaves an impression.
Great for fans of psychological thrillers.Watch for its themes of trust and deception.Interesting use of practical effects enhances the atmosphere.
