Firewall has a bit of that early 2000s tech thriller vibe but with a personal twist. Harrison Ford plays Jack, a security expert who knows his stuff, but the stakes ramp up when the bad guys invade his family life. There’s this constant tension as he balances high-tech intrigue with emotional stakes. Richard Loncraine’s direction keeps things tight, and you can feel the pacing—never really drags but doesn’t rush either. The practical effects are pretty solid, especially for the era, which adds a nice touch to the action sequences. Not everyone talks about it, but I think this film captures that era’s anxiety about technology in a compelling way.
