Fist Power is one of those action flicks that really dives into the darker corners of desperation and duty. The pacing is relentless, you'll find yourself holding your breath as Cheuk races against time—it's all about urgency. The martial arts choreography is quite decent for its time, not over-the-top but grounded, which adds to the film's tension. The atmosphere is heavy, almost claustrophobic at times, especially with the hostage situation unfolding. And while the director remains a bit of a mystery, the performances, particularly from the lead, have a gritty realism that pulls you in, making you root for Cheuk as he fights not just to save a boy but also to confront his own demons. It's distinct in how it marries action with a deeper emotional undercurrent, something a lot of films in this genre tend to overlook.
