So, Flodder is this wild ride from Dick Maas that takes this outrageous low-class family and drops them right into the snooty upper crust. It's got that typical Dutch humor—quite absurd and in your face. The pacing is fast, always throwing some new chaos your way. The performances are a mixed bag; the family really captures that gritty charm, and you can't help but appreciate the practical effects that add a certain rawness to the whole thing. Themes of class disparity bubble under the surface, and there’s a certain charm in their rebellion against societal norms. It’s quirky for sure, but there's a lot of heart hidden in the madness, making it stand out in the comedy genre.
Classic example of Dutch cinema.Captures the absurdity of class conflict.Interesting practical effects throughout.
