Fly Us To The Moons is quite the curious piece. The animation has this surreal quality, almost dreamlike, with these forms floating around – like if you took a bunch of alien crafts and mixed them with bats. The pacing feels leisurely, almost meditative, giving you time to really soak in the visuals and the atmosphere. It’s not your typical narrative-driven film, more of an experience, really. You can sense a certain melancholy, maybe even a longing in the way the characters move and interact, if you can call them that. The practical effects add a texture that feels refreshing in today’s CGI-heavy world. It’s distinctive, for sure, and probably not everyone's cup of tea, but those who get it might find something special here.
