For Night Will Come is a curious blend of drama and horror, really. The Feral family’s attempt to fit in feels so surreal, especially with Philemon at the center—his struggles are palpable. The vibe is thick with tension, and there's a slow burn to the storytelling that just hooks you, pulling you deeper into Philemon's dark world. The practical effects, especially in the later scenes, are strikingly well done, enhancing the eerie atmosphere without leaning too heavily on CGI. The performances are raw and captivating, particularly from the young lead; you can feel his internal conflict. It’s a unique take on adolescence and the monsters within, both literal and metaphorical. Quite an interesting watch for those who appreciate layered narratives.
