Fuego Sagrado is quite an intriguing piece. It blends a deeply rooted cultural narrative with the ethereal music of Jung Jae-il, which really sets the mood. The pacing is deliberate, allowing you to almost feel the weight of the rituals being performed. Jayro Bustamante captures this native woman's connection to the land and her ancestors with such respect; you can almost sense the flicker of the ritual fire. The cinematography has this raw quality, especially in the forest scenes, which enhances the spiritual atmosphere. It's a short film, but it leaves you pondering themes of identity and connection, and the performances feel authentic without being overly dramatized. Definitely one to reflect on.
