Fun Station is an interesting blend of comedy and horror that definitely leans into its absurdity. The atmosphere feels chaotic, especially during Savannah's closing shift, where you can almost feel the tension building as the night drags on. The pacing is a tad uneven but it kind of works, balancing moments of dark humor with genuine fright. The practical effects used for the killer monster are a standout, adding a tangible layer of grotesqueness that CGI just doesn’t capture. The performances from Savannah and her co-workers are pretty entertaining too, with a ragtag dynamic that feels genuine. There’s this undercurrent of exploring workplace camaraderie under duress, though it’s mostly overshadowed by the sheer ridiculousness of the situation. It's distinctive, for sure, but not for everyone.
