So, Genesis... it's got this really raw vibe, you know? The pacing is kind of languid but it works; you're really invited into these guys' lives over the week. The three roommates, JP, Ginger, and Steve, feel very much like real people—flawed and searching for something. When they meet the disabled gay author, it shakes things up in a real way, forcing them to confront their own messes. There's something about the atmosphere; it's both heavy and light at the same time, like it’s grappling with serious themes of identity and friendship but still manages to find humor in the cracks. The performances feel genuine, like you’re just watching a slice of life unfold. It’s not flashy, but there's a lot beneath the surface that sticks with you.
