Ghost is one of those films that blends genres in a way that feels almost seamless. Jerry Zucker does a great job of capturing that eerie but romantic atmosphere. The pacing is interesting; it starts off a bit slow but builds tension nicely as Sam, played by Patrick Swayze, tries to protect Demi Moore's character. The use of practical effects, especially during the ghostly moments, adds a layer of authenticity that digital effects just don’t quite capture. Who could forget that pottery scene? It’s kind of the emotional center despite being a bit cheesy. Plus, Whoopi Goldberg’s performance as the psychic is delightful—she balances humor with depth, which really helps the film's tonal shifts. Overall, it’s a unique mix of love, loss, and the supernatural, wrapped in a compelling narrative.
