Ghost Town (1988) merges crime, horror, and Western in a way that's pretty unique. The film kicks off with Deputy Langley on a mission to rescue a kidnapped girl, leading him to an eerie ghost town that’s anything but empty. It really nails that atmospheric vibe—lots of tension and a sense of impending doom. The spirits of outlaws and townsfolk add an unsettling layer, making the setting feel alive, even though it’s populated by the dead. The pacing feels a bit uneven at times, but there's something engaging about its old-school practical effects and the performances, especially of the ghostly gang led by Devlin. It's a curious blend of genres that stands out in its own right.
