Gi-Hwa is this quietly haunting piece that really digs into the complexities of fatherhood, regret, and redemption. Hui-Yong, this immature dad, is forced to confront his past when he learns he has cancer. The whole setup, where he tries to reconnect with his son, just before his time runs out, gives it this heavy but very real emotional weight. There's a nice contrast between the somber themes and the moments of levity with Seung-Cheol, his old friend. The pacing feels deliberate, allowing the audience to sit with Hui-Yong's struggles. Performances are pretty raw, especially during their reunion after four long years—definitely a standout moment that lingers. Not flashy, but it sticks with you in that understated way.
