Going Out is this quirky little comedy that plays with expectations in a way that feels fresh, even if it meanders a bit. The whole premise—Liz thinking she's headed to see RoboCop with Rob—sets up this absurdity right from the start. The pacing feels a bit off at times, which oddly adds to the charm. You’ve got this light, almost whimsical atmosphere that contrasts with some of the bizarre turns the story takes. The performances are sincere, and there's a certain rawness to them that makes it feel like you’re spending time with real people rather than just characters. It’s distinct, for sure. Not something you see every day in the genre, which might be its most interesting aspect.
