Gold & Lead is an interesting take on the classic Western, drawing inspiration from a real-life 19th-century expedition. The film has this gritty, raw feel, capturing the harshness of the frontier. You can really sense the struggle of survival, and the cinematography does a great job of depicting the vast, unforgiving landscapes. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, which might throw some viewers off, but I think it adds to that feeling of disorientation and danger that the characters experience. The performances have a certain authenticity, making you feel like you’re right there with them in the dust and sun. It’s not your typical shoot-em-up Western; there's a deeper exploration of themes like ambition and the cost of greed that lingers with you after the credits roll.
