Good Midnight is an interesting blend of comedy, horror, and romance from the late '90s that plays with the idea of youthful recklessness. The film captures that raw energy of impulsive road trips, but then it flips the script with some genuinely unsettling moments. There's a nice use of practical effects that gives it a gritty feel, almost like a throwback to earlier cult horrors. The pacing is a bit uneven, but it adds to that chaotic vibe of young people on the edge. Characters are, at times, broadly drawn, but the performances manage to create some real chemistry. It’s definitely got a quirky tone and doesn’t take itself too seriously, which makes for a fun watch, if you’re in the right mood.
Cult classic status among genre enthusiasts. Not well-known but has its own charm.Features interesting practical effects.
