Alright, so 'Grafton & Upton Railroad Inaugural Run' is quite the niche documentary. It hones in on this little railroad's revival after a long hiatus. You can really feel the excitement and hope as the camera captures that first trip on December 31, 2009. The atmosphere is filled with a sense of history β the sweeping shots of the 7 1/2 mile line evoke a nostalgic connection to railroading. There's something profound about seeing the tracks come back to life, under new management no less. The pacing is pretty laid back, allowing you to soak in the scenery and the sounds of the train. Not much in the way of flashy effects, but the real charm lies in the raw authenticity of the moment. It's a slice of railroad history, for sure.
