So, 'Green Whole Gravity' is this quirky little animated piece from 2009. It’s got a unique charm, doesn't quite take itself too seriously, but it does nail that mix of comedy and heart. The pacing has this delightful ebb and flow; you get lulled into the octopus's struggles with the piano and the relentless music store owner, which somehow adds to the humor. The animation style is simple yet expressive, really enhances the octopus's frustration and determination. There’s a lot of whimsy throughout, but also an underlying theme of perseverance in the face of negativity. It's a bit offbeat and not your typical animation fare, which is what draws me to it. Definitely stands out in the landscape of its time.
