Harvest of Horrors is an interesting piece of modern horror. The film builds a really tense atmosphere, especially in those early scenes where the teenagers explore the farmhouse. There's a nice balance between suspense and dread, which keeps you guessing. It leans heavily on practical effects that give a raw, gritty feel, which I think really enhances the overall experience. The pacing feels a bit uneven at times, but I kind of appreciate that. It lets the terror seep in slowly before ramping up. The performances are pretty solid, especially from the lead, who really captures that mix of bravado and vulnerability. And the themes of isolation and the consequences of past actions resonate throughout, making it more than just a typical slasher.
Great use of practical effects enhances the horror.Atmosphere builds nicely, drawing you into the setting.Uneven pacing, but it adds to the tension.
