Hataw Tatay Hataw is one of those quirky comedies that leaves an imprint, capturing the chaos of family dynamics and mistaken identities. The plot revolves around this middle-aged bellboy who, in a bid to impress his daughter, goes all out by pretending to be the hotel owner—classic case of parental desperation if you ask me. The pacing has a nice, almost slapstick rhythm, with the supporting characters, especially Carol and Boyet, adding layers to the humor. There's this absurd running gag involving a wheelchair-bound customer that really tickles the funny bone. And while the director remains a mystery, the performances shine through, bringing a warmth and charm that keeps it engaging throughout.
