Hatch: Found Footage is an interesting little gem from 2018, diving into the found footage horror subgenre. The film centers around a group of friends who venture into this creepy, supposedly haunted forest, and the whole thing is shot through the lens of a camera LCD screen, which gives it a raw, almost claustrophobic feel. The pacing is pretty tight, with a slow build-up that really ramps up the tension as the night goes on. The practical effects are decent, which is a nice change from overly reliant CGI. The performances are quite natural, making you feel like you're actually there with them, experiencing the dread. It’s the atmosphere that stands out—dark, eerie, and unsettling. Definitely not your typical horror flick, but it has its own charm.
