He Will Call (2017) is one of those odd little horror pieces that really leans into the unsettling. The atmosphere is thick with dread, almost claustrophobic at times, which fits the whole Hallowe'en vibe Kinet was aiming for. The pacing has this deliberate rhythm that builds tension, and you can feel the weight of every moment. Practical effects are used effectively; they’ve got a rawness that enhances the eerie tone. The performances, while not flashy, carry a sense of authenticity that pulls you in. It’s distinctive in how it crafts fear without relying heavily on jump scares. Instead, it lingers, making you think about what’s just out of sight, which, for me, is what good horror should do.
