Heritage offers a somber yet deeply humanistic look at the lives intertwined through social service. Jinhyeon, the social worker, is portrayed with a palpable sense of empathy, his home becoming a fragile refuge for Yeongjin, who’s fallen through the cracks. The pacing feels deliberate, allowing the viewer to absorb the weight of each character's struggle. Sunrye, the persistent elderly woman at the welfare center, adds a layer of complexity; her incessant complaints reveal deeper themes of loneliness and connection. The performances are grounded, giving life to the script's raw emotional core. The atmosphere is heavy, with a stark realism that doesn’t shy away from the harshness of their realities.
