Hide-and-Never Seek is an interesting take on horror, blending found footage with a live streaming angle. The atmosphere is tense, fueled by the voyeuristic nature of the characters, BJ and PD, who are constantly searching for something that will genuinely scare their viewers. The pacing is deliberate, building suspense through what’s left unseen rather than what’s shown. The performances feel raw, especially the high school student who disappears - her fear is palpable. It's got some practical effects that, while not groundbreaking, work well in the context, adding a layer of realism. The film captures a certain cultural zeitgeist with its commentary on digital voyeurism and the obsession with fear in media.
