His Boy is kind of a somber but beautifully animated piece. It's a tale of grief and connection, with this tender focus on Woo-jin, who's navigating the heavy waters of loss at his parents' funeral. The atmosphere feels weighty yet hopeful. The pacing is slow but intentional, giving you space to really absorb the emotions. The way the two boys, Woo-jin and San, bond during these three days is really genuine, and it feels like a deep exploration of friendship and healing. It’s not flashy, but the animation has this hand-crafted quality that draws you in. The minimal dialogue lets the visuals do a lot of the talking, which I find refreshing in today’s crowded animation scene.
