Hit Parade is an interesting blend of action, adventure, and comedy that revolves around Jerome Archer, a retired hitman trying to live a quiet life as a bookstore manager. The film takes a unique turn when he's pulled back into his old ways by some Census Bureau agents, which makes for an unexpected plot twist. The pacing has a nice ebb and flow, mixing light-hearted moments with tension-filled sequences. The performances are decent, especially the lead who struggles with his past while attempting to navigate his new life. It has a quirky tone, and while it doesn't shy away from violence, there's this odd comedic charm that makes it stand out. Definitely a film that captures that offbeat vibe you don’t see every day.
