So, 'Home' from 2019 is an interesting piece in the animation genre. You have this unique setting filled with towering spires—definitely a visual treat. The story revolves around Mogwi, a character who's been through a lot, abandoned and left to fend for himself in a scrapyard. I find it compelling how they explore themes of abandonment and resilience. The pacing is somewhat reflective, giving you time to sit with Mogwi's pain and evolution. The character design and practical effects are pretty well done, adding a gritty feel to the scrapyard, which contrasts with the fantastical elements of the world. Not your typical animation, but there’s a rawness to it that stands out.
