Hooter Polka is one of those films that revels in its own absurdity. It’s a slapstick comedy that’s not really about plot, but more about the sheer spectacle of breasts jiggling in rhythm to whatever polka tunes they’ve chosen. The tone is light and goofy, almost like it’s deliberately winking at you, which gives it this playful atmosphere. Pacing-wise, it doesn't take itself seriously, and it moves quickly from one gag to the next. The performances, if you can call them that, are over-the-top and add to the absurd charm. You can sense the practical effects were done with a low budget, yet they have a certain DIY quality that adds to its distinctive flavor. It's definitely one of those films that exists in its own niche.
