So, 'Hop Step Jump!' is this quirky little comedy that doesn’t take itself too seriously, which I find refreshing. Tsuruoka Itto, our 32-year-old janitor, is kind of a lovable doofus. The setting—a girls' high school—adds a fun layer of awkwardness and charm. There’s this scene where he stumbles upon Asahimura Sayaka freaking out about a frog, and it’s just perfectly absurd. The pacing is pretty laid-back, allowing for some genuine, if not slightly awkward, moments as he tries to connect with her.
