Hounds (2018) is quite an interesting piece in the animation realm. It explores a dog's life who’s molded to mimic human behavior, but things get really compelling when a pack of Hounds drawn to his home starts to shake up the status quo. The atmosphere has a mix of whimsical charm and underlying tension, creating a unique juxtaposition that keeps you engaged. The pacing is a bit unconventional, taking its time to develop the relationships between characters, which I think adds depth. The animation style has this raw, almost hand-drawn feel, which gives it a distinct character. It’s not your typical animated fare, and that’s what makes it stand out in a sea of polished productions.
