So, 'House Call' is one of those little indie horror flicks that really does a lot with its simple premise. A man, clearly unhinged, shows up at a dentist's home late at night, demanding some rather graphic dental work. The atmosphere is thick with tension, and you can really feel the claustrophobia of the setting. The pacing is off-kilter but in a good way, ramping up the unease as the story unfolds. The practical effects are surprisingly effective for a low-budget film, which is always a plus. The performances, especially from the lead, carry this unsettling vibe throughout. It's unique in its exploration of anxiety and desperation, leaving an uncomfortable impression long after the credits roll.
Interesting take on psychological horror.Great use of practical effects for a low budget.Captures a sense of claustrophobia throughout the film.
