Hudson Hawk is this wild blend of action, comedy, and adventure that feels a bit like a fever dream. Eddie Hawkins, played by Bruce Willis, gets released from the joint and just wants a quiet life, but of course, that doesn't happen. The Mayflower couple, who are just delightfully insane, drag him into a heist involving Leonardo da Vinci's art. The tone is all over the place, sometimes leaning into absurdity, but it maintains this quirky rhythm throughout. The practical effects and stunts, while not always flawless, have a certain charm that ties into the film's off-kilter vibe. Willis and Danny Aiello have a nice chemistry, and the pacing keeps you guessing, even if it doesn't always land. It's a unique piece, for sure.
