Iden & Tity is this interesting slice of 80s nostalgia, really captures the raw energy of the rock scene. Nakajima, played by Kazunobu Mineta, is the lead singer of 'Speed Way', and his struggle against commercial expectations is quite compelling. You can feel the tension in the air with his refusal to write the typical pop drivel. The atmosphere is gritty, with an honest portrayal of the band dynamics that resembles the feel of Shonen Merikensack, yet it has its own unique pulse. The performances have an authenticity that pulls you in, and there's something refreshing about its approach to music and rebellion that makes it stand out amidst the backdrop of the era's elaborate hairstyles and flashy outfits. It's a bit rough around the edges, but that gives it character.
