So, 'Incoming' is this intriguing mix of action and sci-fi, set in a space prison, which is kind of a unique concept. You’ve got the International Space Station repurposed as a black site – definitely adds to the atmosphere. The pacing is pretty taut; it really keeps you on edge with the impending threat of the terrorists turning the station into a weapon. It has some solid practical effects, which is refreshing. The performances of the shuttle pilot and rookie doctor are decent, especially when they’re up against a well-armed crew of prisoners. There’s a certain gritty realism to it, along with a tense backdrop of political commentary that gives it an edge. Not your typical space thriller, for sure.
