Indestructible: Afterlife is one of those rare horror sci-fi hybrids that really leans into its B-movie roots. The film kicks off with a gruesome murder right out of the gate, setting a dark tone that doesn't let up. James Kirby, our quasi-immortal antagonist, is a relentless force – you get this unsettling feeling that he’s always a step behind you. The practical effects used for the kills are surprisingly effective, adding a gritty realism that enhances the horror. Pacing is a bit uneven at times, but it contributes to the overall disorientation of the viewer. The performances veer towards the melodramatic, which oddly fits the film’s vibe. It’s distinctive in how it plays with the concept of death, creating a bleak atmosphere that lingers long after the credits roll.
